Extracts from the French Intellectual Property Code :
- Art L.335-2 "Any publication of writings, musical compositions, drawings, paintings or any other production, printed or engraved in whole or in part, in disregard of the laws and regulations relating to authors' property, is an infringement; and any infringement is an offence. Counterfeiting in France of works published in France or abroad is punishable by three years' imprisonment and a fine of 300,000 euros. The same penalties will apply to the sale, export, or import transshipment or possession of infringing works for the aforementioned purposes.
- Where the offences provided for in this article are committed by an organized gang, the penalties are increased to seven years' imprisonment and a fine of 750,000 euros.”
- Art L.335-3 "Any reproduction, representation or distribution, by any means whatsoever, of an intellectual work in violation of the author's rights, as defined and regulated by law, is also an offence of counterfeiting. It is also an offence of counterfeiting to infringe one of the rights of the author of software as defined in article L. 122-6."
Information on the analysis of applications under ParcourSup
Pursuant to article 32 of law no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to information technology, files and civil liberties, we hereby inform you that personal data concerning each applicant is processed by the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne.
This data is collected in order to facilitate the analysis of applications carried out by the committees responsible for examining applications for the various bachelor's degrees and courses offered by the university, within the strict framework of the procedures and criteria for the pedagogical examination of applications determined by these committees.
The information collected is kept for a period of two years. After this period, it is rendered anonymous and kept for statistical analysis for a period of 10 years.
The recipients of this data are: the members of the vetting committee, the Department of Studies and Student Life, ORIVE (for statistical purposes), the Department of Legal and Institutional Affairs (in the event of litigation or pre-litigation), the Presidency and Vice-Presidency, the administrative manager of the component, the director of the component concerned, the director of the bachelor's degree concerned.
In accordance with the provisions of articles 39 and 40 of the law of 6 January 1978 above, all applicants have the right to access and rectify information concerning them.
The French data protection authority (the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés, 'CNIL') considers that the right to object cannot be applied to this processing (deliberation no. 2018-119 of 22 March 2018).
