Call for applications: Support for MSCA and ERC proposals with an excellence evaluation
As part of its research support strategy, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne is launching a call for applications for early-career and non-tenured researchers who have received an excellence evaluation (Seal of Excellence or score A) under an Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowship call or an European Research Council call, without having been funded.
Funded under the Sorb’Rising initiative at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, the Rebond Europe – MSCA/ERC support programme supports these researchers in the preparing and submitting a new European application, by providing them with favourable working conditions to develop their project.
Who is eligible to apply?
- Early-career researchers who have submitted an MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship application and been awarded the “Seal of Excellence”;
- Early-career or non-tenured researchers who have submitted an ERC proposal as Principal Investigator and obtained score A at the first evaluation stage.
Successful applicants commit to submitting a new application within the first 12 months of the Sorb’Rising funding period, within a research laboratory within the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne perimeter.
What does the program include?
- A one-year research contract, renewable for an additional six months;
- A research budget of up to €15,000;
- For MSCA-PF applications: support from the European projects team of the host institution (the Paris 1 Projects Office or the relevant CNRS/IRD regional European office), as well as participation in a dedicated masterclass;
- For ERC applications : enhanced support from the Projects Office of Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
Timeline
- Application deadline: 30 June 2026;
- Starting date of the contract: enabling submission of the new proposal within the first 12 months of the Sorb’Rising funding period;
- Indicative deadlines for submission to the European Commission:
- MSCA PF : 8 September 2027 ;
- ERC Starting grant : October 2027 ;
- ERC Consolidator grant : January 2027 or January 2028.
